Software Development / Business Analyst

Duties & Responsibilities

Software development analysts support our team in projects that require the creation and delivery of robust IT systems for trading, operations and risk management in the energy industry. They are rapidly challenged on multiple simultaneous client projects and communicate with system users to quickly answer questions, resolve problems and recommend and deliver solutions. They analyze the clientÂ’s business processes and develop software solutions to problems of varying complexity. New analysts will be asked to quickly get up to speed on our existing software solutions and address issues with existing functionality, reviewing and debugging code written by others. They will also be developing new functionality for existing applications as well as designing, developing and deploying new applications in a variety of scenarios. They are expected to understand, support and develop all components of our solutions, including client applications, server applications, database applications and their interfaces with one another and the users. They have to efficiently communicate complex ideas through documentation, diagrams and presentations. In addition to software development, as an integral part of the M.C. Wilhelm team, analysts are presented with many opportunities to grow their analytical and business skills in a dynamic work environment without artificial boundaries for growth. Their team responsibilities continue to grow with their skill set.
