Summer Intern (Non-MBA Student) Duties & Responsibilities Summer interns will have the opportunity to augment their present skill base with on-the-job training by experienced associates. You will focus most of your summer on a single project that will allow you to demonstrate both your existing skill set and your ability to quickly add to that set. At the end of the summer, you will be asked to present project conclusions to the entire firm. The summer experience will be an opportunity for interns and the firm to learn more about each other and ideally will result in full-time employment after graduation. Qualifications Ideal candidates will be enrolled in programs leading to graduate or undergraduate degrees within the next academic year in computer science, economics, physics, mathematics or engineering, with additional coursework and/or outside study in finance. They will have strong analytical capabilities and team skills in addition to energy, maturity, and creativity. Successful candidates will be highly self-motivated and show great enthusiasm for solving problems. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio is required. Experience with computer programming, particularly in Matlab, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, and/or C++ is helpful. Considering our strong involvement in European markets, working knowledge of German, French, Spanish, or Italian will be considered an advantage. |
