Summer Associate (MBA student)

Duties & Responsibilities

Summer associates may be given the opportunity to take the lead on modules of existing client projects. You will interact with the entire team on a daily basis. You will apply your knowledge of modern financial theories to exotic option pricing, real-options, power trading, and/or financial engineering. You will leverage your industry experience to build strategies for product development, regulatory issues, market entry, re-positioning and/or globalization. You will experience consulting at a small boutique firm with a global client base and leave with significant knowledge of the energy industry.

Qualifications

Candidates will be enrolled in an MBA or similar program with a concentration in Finance, Consulting, and/or Strategy. Ideal candidates will have a broad skill set that can be applied to both quantitative and strategic problems. Energy industry experience is helpful. Candidates must demonstrate the interest and ability to quickly build new competencies as we do not encourage specialization. They will have strong analytical capabilities in addition to energy, maturity, flexibility and creativity. Successful candidates will be client-driven and will show great enthusiasm for solving problems. Considering our strong involvement in European markets, working knowledge of German, French, Spanish, or Italian will be considered an advantage.
