Build upon the resources at the client

The first stage of each engagement is to understand the client situation. This not only includes a careful definition of the challenges they are facing, but also an inventory of the internal tools available for a solution. We evaluate the competencies at the client so that we can help develop and extend them to achieve existing and future objectives.

Embrace complexity, but deliver clarity and structure

The problems of each client are unique. We believe that optimal solutions can only be found by examining the nuances of a particular client situation. Our team has the skills and experience to manage the complexity resulting from such an approach. Ultimately, clients need clear, structured solutions to their problems. Although we embrace complexity for analysis, we deliver crisp solutions that can be implemented.

Work collaboratively and perform transparent analysis

All project work begins and ends with the client. The client initiates a project and ultimately controls the success of solutions. It is crucial for us to work collaboratively with clients. It is essential that the client understands, contributes, and accepts the assumptions and results of our analysis for a successful project.

The specific client situation is used to customize analysis to the prevailing environment. We have developed a library of analytic tools and market models that we leverage for many of our engagements. At each stage of the process, we keep the client informed of our analyses through presentations, white papers and intermediate results.

Provide actionable deliverables including functional tools as necessary

We measure the success of a project by the actions taken at the client. For this reason, deliverables are useful to the extent that they lead to action. Our focus on the energy industry allows us to provide in-depth support for new activities. We can go beyond making recommendations to supporting and ensuring implementation. This can include the development and deployment of software tools performing tasks from risk measurement to physical settlement to scheduling to asset valuation. We meticulously customize our tools to address the uniqueness of each client engagement. We have found great success using this approach to support on-going activities at the client.
